NIGERIAN POLYTECHNICS CAN FIX ECONOMY AND FOOD CRISIS – ADAMU




At the 14th combined convocation of the Federal Polytechnic Bida in Niger State North Central Nigeria. The Minister for Education Mallam Adamu Adamu emphasised that the polytechnics needs to be involved in the bid of the administration to diversify the economy from its total dependence on oil to Agriculture Mining .
He emphasised that the role of Science and Technology in the development of any nation cannot be over- emphasised as no nation can afford to depend on borrowed and imported technology for its industrialization.
The Minister who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) , called on the National Board for Technical Education to ensure that standards are not compromised in the Polytechnic sector.
