BELLS PARENTS FORUM DONATES MULTI- PURPOSE STUDENTS CENTRE

Bells University
The Bells University Parents Forum (BUPF) has donated a multi-purpose students centre and an ambulance bus worth N60 million to the university.

Emeritus Professor Oladipo Akinkugbe, the institution’s President and Chairman, Board of Trustees, who performed the official commissioning of the Students Centre commended the Executive Committee members of the BUPF for the project and others donated in support of the university.

He described the project as a development he has not experienced for a long time since his contact with university administration in the last 51 years in the country.

Professor Akinkugbe charged the students to take charge of the centre as their personal property since it is a collective project developed and completed by their parents in partnership with the management of the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah Ojediran expressed delight at the activities of the parents’ forum in the physical development of the institution, saying that the committee and the entire members of the BUPF have brought their professional expertise to bare in the project execution and delivery.

Prof. Ojerinde in his acknowledgement of the relevance of the 36 coaster and 18 high roof passenger capacity buses and construction of the student cafe earlier donated by the BUPF to the institution stated that they were all tailored towards the needs of the university.

“I think BUPF members have a crystal ball that tells them of what to do because whatever project executed is always to the needs of both the students and staff of the university. The wastewater project, the electricity distribution and others have all taken care of some needs of the institution,” he said.

Mr. Tajudeen Kareem, BUPF Chairman commended the immediate past committee member of the forum, saying that their cooperation and commitment have seen the various projects through.
