The Abia state government has refused to pay teachers salaries since january 2016 till date.
This has made the teachers to pass through untold hardship, some borrowing to survive and there is no hope of when the salaries will come.
It was confirmed that if at all they want to pay they will only pay one month while the rest accumulate again. some teachers interviewed who does not want there name in prints said this has been happening even during the last administration.
They are therefore calling on the Federal government to help in alleviating this untold hardship by talking to the people involved to pay them .
