EDE POLY ASUP , SSANIP CLASH OVER UNPAID WAGES

The Academic Staff Union of polytechnics at the Federal Polytechnic ede , Osun State South West Nigeria, has disagreed with Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechics and the Non Academic Staff union of the institution over the protest which forced the Management to close down the school.

The SSANIP and NASU last tuesday the 29th of March  2016, decleared an indefinite strike and staged a protest over the inability of the institution's Management to pay their salaries as a result of shortfall in funds allocated to the school.

But the chairman of ASUP, Mr. Adeyemi Komolafe , while speaking with reportes on wednesday said although members were also affected by the shortfall of funds, they did not join the strike because it would disrupt the institution's academic calender.
